Our MEL Services
Monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) are essential components of any development program or intervention. They provide valuable information about the effectiveness and impact of a program, helping to inform decisions about future interventions.
Third-Party Evaluations
Third-party evaluations involve engaging an external agency to assess a program's performance and impact. We conduct independent reviews that provide an objective assessment of effectiveness — identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. They are particularly useful for large-scale programs involving multiple stakeholders and complex interventions.
Lot Quality Assessment Surveys
LQA surveys are rapid assessment tools used to monitor and evaluate program performance by sampling a small number of individuals or households on a specific indicator. They quickly assess impact and flag areas needing attention — ideal for rapidly evolving programs or those with limited MEL resources.
KAP Studies
Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices studies assess how individuals or communities understand and respond to a particular issue or intervention, using surveys, focus group discussions, or interviews. KAP studies identify gaps and inform targeted interventions — especially for health programs involving behavior change.
Household Surveys
Household surveys collect data on a range of indicators from representative samples. They measure program impact on outcomes such as health, education, or income, and provide detailed household-level information to design targeted interventions for large-scale programs.
Maternal & Child Health Program Development
Maternal and Child Health is a critical focus of our research practice — spanning prenatal care, maternal and child nutrition, immunization, and family planning. We design, implement, and evaluate programs to improve MCH outcomes, grounded in a deep understanding of local social, cultural, and economic contexts and built in collaboration with health workers, community leaders, and women's groups.
Policy Advice & Performance Evaluation
We support policymakers with research to inform decisions, analysis of existing policies, and recommendations for new ones — combining an understanding of the political landscape with a strong evidence base. Our performance evaluations rigorously assess the effectiveness of programs, policies, and interventions to continuously improve outcomes for women and children.
Capacity Development
Equipping today's and tomorrow's health professionals with the skills to deliver.
Training Across the Public Health Spectrum
We design and deliver training on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child & Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), nutrition, immunization, environmental health, research methods, epidemiology, and information systems — building practical skills that translate directly into stronger service delivery.
Young Public Health Professionals Development Programs
We invest in the next generation of public health leaders. Our development programs give young professionals structured learning, mentorship, and field exposure so they can contribute meaningfully to Pakistan's health sector from day one.
Capacity Development for Healthcare Professionals
From frontline health workers to program managers, we strengthen the capacity of healthcare professionals through targeted, competency-based training — improving the quality of care and building a culture of continuous learning within health institutions.
Health Systems Strengthening
Building resilient health systems through policy, data, and people.
Management Information Systems
Management information systems (MIS) collect, analyze, and disseminate health-related data to support decision-making. MIS helps health managers identify gaps in service delivery, monitor program performance, and allocate resources more efficiently — and improves quality of care by providing timely, accurate information to health workers.
Operations Research
Operations research is a systematic approach to problem-solving using mathematical and statistical methods to analyze complex systems. We use OR to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, design and evaluate health interventions, and identify the most cost-effective approaches to delivering services — driving evidence-based decision-making in health systems.
Human Resources for Health Development & Management
HRHDM develops and manages the workforce needed to deliver health services — workforce planning, recruitment, training, and retention. Effective HRHDM builds a motivated, skilled, and productive health workforce, leading to better health outcomes and a more efficient health system.
Training & Capacity Building
We deliver training and capacity building on MNCH, HTSP, IYCF, nutrition, EPI, research, and epidemiology — ensuring health workers are competent and confident in delivering services, and nurturing a culture of learning and continuous improvement within health systems.
