Routine Immunization System Strengthening & Equity (RISE)
Technical and analytical support to Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department in Lahore Campaign, targeting zero-dose and defaulter children for routine immunization, leveraging the polio program and PSDH's data systems.
Funded by GAVI and managed by Mannion and Daniel and OPM is designed to address a critical public health challenge: reaching missed communities and reducing the number of "zero-dose" children (those who have never received a single routine vaccine shot).
This is a joint venture with Rahnuma-FPAP spanning eight districts in Punjab where Rahnuma-FPAP manages five districts and SPHERE Consulting operates three districts in South Punjab i.e. Multan, DG Khan and Rajanpur.
SPHERE Team has a special focus to track down and immunize children aged 0–23 months who live in geographically or socially marginalized pockets. For this, 20 static vaccination centres in 11 Union Councils have been established for the provision of routine immunization in the districts. Additionally, the teams also established outreach centres to extend coverage into remote communities.
Monthly Community Support Group meetings have been convened at each center to drive local engagement, neutralize vaccine hesitancy, misconceptions (e.g., fear of post-vaccine fever), and logistical barriers through local, community-led platforms.
Additionally, SPHERE holds the comprehensive responsibility for public advocacy across the entire eight-district footprint, running targeted cable television advertisements to build community awareness and mobilize parents to ensure proper vaccination for their children.
